Palliative Care
Palliative Care was first coined by Dr. Balfour Mount of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, who chose the term to describe medical care that would alleviate the suffering of dying patients and ease their way toward the end of life.
Although there are many ways of understanding the term, palliative care today usually implies addressing the needs - physical, mental, and spiritual of chronically ill and dying patients
